Ngo Van Sac won the Silver Prize at UOB Painting of The Year competition in Vietnam
Special congratulations to artist Ngo Van Sac for winning the Silver Prize in the Established Artist category with his wood-burn and mixed media artwork “Encroachment”. The artwork represents the artist’s thoughts as he witnesses sea encroachment, deforestation and the impact of hydropower dam construction on the Mekong River. The multidimensional image reflects the complex relationship between humanity and nature, mirroring nature’s resistance while questioning how humanity treats the environment.

It was a great honor to join together with other esteemed guests at the British Ambassador’s Residence in Hanoi, hosted by His Majesty’s Ambassador Iain Frew and his Spouse, to celebrate artist Ngo Van Sac’s first exhibition in London. Eight beautiful and impressive artworks of Ngo Van Sac, currently on display at the Ambassador Residence, took the spotlight of the evening.

The painting will be included in the artist’s forthcoming catalogue raisonné prepared by the artist’s son, Alain Le Kim. The painting is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity prepared by the artist’s son, Alain Le Kim. This artwork has gathered a huge amount of interest and was sold to a very high-profile collector in Hanoi.

Ngo Van Sac - Journey with wood-burn art
Artist Ngo Van Sac shares about his journey with wood-burn art on national television VTV3. Ngo Van Sac started exploring the art of painting on wood panels over ten years ago. However, upon reflecting on his earlier creations, he found that they didn't meet his high standards. Determined to push boundaries, he decided to take a bold step. With determination burning within him, he set flame to his previous paintings, watching as they transformed before his eyes. In the flickering glow and radiant hues born from the heat, Ngo Van Sac discovered a new perspective, a newfound life infused with artistic brilliance.
Phung Pham’s artworks returned to Vietnam in collaboration with Vietnam Embassy The Hague
The Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the Netherlands organized a ceremony for the donation of two artworks by artist Phung Pham from the personal collection of Mrs. Ellen Berends, a retired diplomat who served in Vietnam. The ceremony took place at the Chancellery of Vietnam in The Hague on 17th November 2022. Mrs. Ellen Berends has decided to donate the two works of art to the Vietnam Museum of Fine Art and the people of Vietnam. According to Berends, the works are part of the Vietnamese cultural property. A noble and generous move indeed. Bravo!
'The Tale of Kieu' comic book makes debut at Thang Long Art Gallery
A book of the great epic poem “Truyen Kieu" (The Tale of Kieu) by poet Nguyen Du (1766–1820) with 24 paintings by painter Le Thiet Cuong was introduced to the public on April 13 in Hanoi.
